A Great Weekend!

I pray that you have all had a great weekend!  I enjoyed taking a day off so that I could attend a breast cancer fund raiser in Ft. Wayne with my best friend!  It was a lot of fun and it raised a lot of money for breast cancer research!  Here is this week's newsletter!

Picture Day! … Don’t forget that Monday is picture day.  Students may wear appropriate free dress.  Please be sure to send in order forms with your child.

Science Tests … Students brought home their tests with week in their Friday Folders.  Students should have also brought home their science books.  If you choose, students may make corrections on their test. I will then take an average of the 2 grades to record on Fast Direct.  Please have corrected tests turned in by Wednesday to receive the average score.

Memory Work … Just a reminder that Memory work is one of the most important things we learn in school.  I had many students who struggled with this week’s work.  There were many students who waited until Thursday to say any of their verses.  This makes it difficult to recite all of the work – especially when it’s a week that has a lot.  Amounts will very from week to week, but saying Memory Work in small doses is always helpful!

Memory Work, Due Thursday, October 9, 2014:
Remember the wondrous works [the Lord] has done. 1 Chronicles 16:12

The Third Commandment Remember the Sabbath Day by keeping it holy. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not despise preaching an His Word, but hold it sacred and gladly hear it and learn it.

Spelling Words, test on Friday, October 10, 2014:
next, end, camp, sank, sing, drink, hunt, stand, long, stamp, pond, bring, jump, left, young, friend
