A Long Weekend Ahead!

It's kind of nice to have a long weekend in the middle of October...I will have an opportunity to learn new things, catch up with some friends and bring new things back to the classroom!  I'm looking forward to it & I hope that you are, too!

Also, when you look on Fast Direct this weekend, take note of grades for assignments.  If there is a 0, I consider this missing & students need to make it up.  If there is an x, it does not need to be made up and has no effect on the students grade.

New Bible Study … There is a new Bible study starting at church titled “The Story.”  It meets in the church gym at 9:30 every Sunday.  I am very excited about it!  I hope to see many of you there!

No Spelling! … Due to the short week, we will NOT be having a spelling test on Friday.  Instead Memory Work will be due on FridayJ.

Book Orders! …  This is our first book order for the school year!  If you choose, you may order 2 different ways – You may simply return the order form with payment made out to Scholastic to me or you may place your order on www.scholastic.com using classroom code “HCPJM”. All orders are due by Friday, October 17^th in order to assure that any Halloween books would be delivered in time.

Fast Direct …  All grades have been entered into Fast Direct.  Please time time over the long weekend to look over your child’s grade.  If you need to request copies of missing work, please email or send in a note with the missing assignments and I will send them home with your child.  If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me!
