T.G.I.F.!

We are thankful it's Friday!  It sure does feel like it's been a long week!  The humidity made it seem unbearable on Tuesday and Wednesday -- Thankful that cooler weather is in line for us!

Here we go...

Successes:  We now have our first Spelling test under our belt!  It went well even though we weren't able to finish it before lunch!  We also had fun learning about contractions -- we love that Smart Board! Finally, we were sooooo excited to have our first D.E.A.R. Time!  DEAR time is when we choose a book, take off our shoes, put our feet up and read!  It stands for Drop Everything And Read!  Such a great way to end the week!

Struggles:  Continue to keep us in your prayers.  We really are a great class, but prayers couldn't hurt -- could they??? ;-)

Homework:  The students didn't fill out their assignment books, but they did come home with Math 8B & Reading wkst. 12.  Students were given time to complete the work so there shouldn't be any left to do.

Today's Prayer:  Today we prayed for Nathan's dog, Boxer.  Boxer is quite old and is starting to get sick.  we prayed that God would help him to enjoy the time that he has left & bring joy to Nathan's family.

Don't forget to check Fast Direct for this week's Second Grade Standard.  I know I sent one home today after I said I wouldn't, but I didn't remember that until after I had already made the copies!


Now...it's the weekend!  Go out and enjoy it!
