Oh, it feels soooo good to have that first week of school finished. It's always hard to get back into the swing of things. Next week will be easier, I'm sure!
Here we go...
Successes: We followed directions very well during Social Studies. We were working on our vocabulary cards. We were so focused you could hear a pin drop! I think that's amazing for a classroom of 23 students!
Struggles: Well, we are struggling a little bit on transitioning from one subject to another. We love to get off topic. I know that's something I can easily do, so it's not just the students. We will all be working on that this year!
Homework: We only had Math 3B for homework & I did give them time to complete it in class. It should be an easy, enjoyable weekend for all involved!
Prayers: We asked God to please heal Tomas' scratch on his arm, to watch over Grace's Grandpa who is sick, to quickly heal Sara's Uncle Howie, and heal injured friends. We also wanted to keep in our prayers Christian's dad who is in the hospital and Vidhiyaa's cousin who is sick. We also thanked God for the first week of school coming to an end.
Finally, I wanted to thank you all for the gift card to Target! It truly is my favorite store. I have to work hard NOT to go there every day!!! The students and I enjoyed the cupcakes, ice cream sandwiches and juice that we consumed! Thank you so much! You all are such a blessing!
Now, go and enjoy the long weekend!
In His Grace,
Miss Mazur
