Well, we had our first day of indoor recess -- it started raining just before we were set to go outside! Boohoo! Let me just say that there were a lot of students in the gym! It was also great to be back after the long weekend! I had a lot of fun & I hope that you did too!
Here we go...
Successes: We made it through indoor recess without anyone getting hurt -- woohoo! What that means is that we were cautious and aware of what was going on around us!! Good Job 2nd graders! We also made some wonderful "Squiggle" pictures. I can't wait for parents to see them at the end of the week. Be sure to ask your child about them! Another smart thing I saw today was during Math. We were writing our numbers 1-100 today and one student figured out that he could get 10 numbers on each line. So, he proceeded to write the 10's at the end of each line (10, 20, 30, etc.). Such a smart idea!
Struggles: Today was still tough for us to get things done in a timely manner. I don't know if the humidity had something to do with it (I didn't even want to move fast) or if we are still getting used to the schedule -- continue to keep that in your prayers.
Prayers: We prayed for Gracie's mom who has a sore foot & is running in a race this Saturday and for Jack's Grandma who is sick. Please keep them and us in your daily prayers.
We had a great today!
Many Blessings,
Miss Mazur
