I know that it seems that I'm always excited for the weekend -- that's because I am!!! We work so hard during the week! It's nice to have a few days to just "veg-out."
Here we go...
Successes: We took our first test today! We did well. We did a lot of thinking aloud so that we could share how we read through the questions. I expect everyone to get an A on this one -- especially since we went through most of the answers! It took us a long time, but we were quiet during the test & we did our best!
Struggles: We want to continue working on the "higher-level thinking" questions, but we also want to be dedicated to learning our Memory Work! This is the MOST IMPORTANT assignment that the students have. God's Word is the foundation for EVERYTHING we are learning here! I want them to understand that it is "Priority #1!" There were several students who didn't have it memorized today:( Please keep this in your prayers!
Homework: We had Science wkst. 17-18 (pg. 17 was done in class), Math 15B, Reading wkst. 37-38 (pg. 37 was done previously), and study for the Spelling Test tomorrow.
Prayers: We had a whole "page" of prayers today. We asked that Ricardo's dog, Brian, do well on his obedience test, that Drew's dog like his new home, Tomas' dog Lily, and that Jack's grandma's cat get better (notice the animal theme???:). Also thanks for keeping Kemp's Grandparents safe from the California fires. Be with Drew's dad who has a baseball game tonight. Keep Grace's Dad safe while he is in Tennessee, and be with Christians Poppa who has heart problems and is in the hospital.
Have a great evening,
In Christ,
Miss Mazur
