We Will Never Forget!

It's one of those days in my life that I will never forget where I was when I found out the first plane had hit the World Trade Center tower.  The rest of the day that followed will forever be in my memory. I remember going to my master's class that night...none of us wanted to learn -- we couldn't! We were all filled with so much shock and sadness over what happened.  One thing that gave me comfort was my faith! God has always promised that good will come from those horrible or sad events that happen in our lives and I was thankful for the opportunity to share that on that day!

Today in class we talked about that day just a little bit. I showed them a book that had the old New York skyline. We looked at pictures of the Freedom Tower and the memorial to those who lost their lives that day. We talked about the brave & heroic first responders  who went into that building that day knowing most likely they would be giving up their own lives to save the lives of others. But, then we went back to the promise of eternal life that we have through our Savior, Jesus. That those who lost their lives that day all had the promise of Eternal Life.

We are thankful for those first responders who risk their lives each day so that we can live in freedom and we pray for them each day!

Most importantly, we remember the sacrifice that Jesus made for us so that we all would have the promise of Eternal Life!

We will never forget!
