A Little Late...

So, I'm sorry that this post is a little late!  It's been a long weekend!  I pray that each of you have been able to enjoy the cool air!  I also hope that you were able to make it to Oktoberfest this weekend!  Hope to see all of you on Monday!

Musical Order Forms … Just a reminder that order forms for musical t-shirts are due on Tuesday.  Please make sure you have payment & form turned in to me.  Thanks!

Matching Funds … You should have received a letter in your child’s Friday Folder about a special Matching Funds campaign that will be taking place over the next 5 Sundays.  $25,000 in matching funds has been designated for our school and also Lutheran High Northwest.  Any amount that you can give will go toward these matching funds.  Simply return the envelope to school and we will see that it is applied toward this campaign.  If you are unable to help out monetarily, please keep this in your prayers!

AR! … We will be starting AR in our classroom this next week.  Now that we understand how our classroom works, students will be able to take tests when they are finished with their own work or during reading time while I am working with reading groups.  I will be sending home their username & passwords on Monday.  Students will only be able to take tests here as school, but you will be able to login to monitor their progress from home. 

Our First Test! … We will be having our first test in Science over chapter 5 this Thursday.  Students should have a good understanding of the vocabulary words and concepts taught in that chapter.  We spend a lot of time in second grade learning how to take tests & I will be reading the test with them to make sure that they are taking the time needed to answer correctly.  Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me!
