A Surprise Day Off!

Well, I certainly didn't expect this!  However, as I'm sitting at my computer listening to the wind blow outside...I understand why we didn't have school today!  I really didn't want to miss a day of school, but I'm NEVER going to turn down a day off!  Since we didn't have school today, students will be taking their Science and Spelling tests on Monday.  I had to have tests after a weekend, but I cannot delay them!  Thanks for understanding!

National Lutheran Schools Week! … Next week is an exciting week for us!  We have an opportunity to really celebrate the wonderful blessing of our School!  A place where we can freely talk about our Faith and learn about our Savior!  Look for our school’s Lamb’s Connection to come to your email inbox.  It’s loaded with info about the special events we have going on next week!  As for Monday – PJ & Slippers Day – students are invited to bring a blanket, pillow, favorite stuffed animal or all three for our “Slumber Party” that will be taking place Monday afternoon!  It’s sure to be a fun day!

Singing at Church … This is just a reminder that we will be singing at church this Saturday at the 6:00 service.  Also, we are in need of a few students who would be willing to pass out bookmarks to people as the come into the sanctuary.  Students who are able to help in this way are asked to be in the back of the sanctuary by 5:45!  Thanks in advance for your help!

Auction Basket Help … I am still looking for help assembling this year’s 2^nd grade Auction baskets.  If you are able to help in this way, please contact me at mazurt@ourshepherd.net.  Also, don’t forget to send in $2 to help cover the cost of purchasing items for the baskets.  We are making themed baskets with our cookbook we made at Christmas time so the cost of items for the basket will be on the low side!  Thanks again for your prayers and generosity!

Book Orders … These will be coming home in the Friday Folders this Monday!  Please have orders in by Monday, February 3^rd.

Church and Sunday School Attendance Sheets … New sheets are in the Friday Folders.  Please remember to go back and mark last week’s and this week’s attendance when the folders come home on Monday!
