Well, I hope that students were able to enjoy the long weekend.  I know that the newsletter is later than usual so I have given students until Friday to say Memory Work.  It was wonderful to be able to sit and talk with parents this past week!

Cursive is Coming! … Beware!  In just one short week we will be starting cursive. We are so excited and can’t wait to share what we are learning with you.

Book-It! Forms … Just a reminder that students should be reading for 20 minutes at least 5 times each week.

Addresses Needed  … This coming week, we will be starting a letter writing unit.  As part of that unit, we will be sending letters to people we know.  Please help you child choose someone, write their name and address down, and send it in so that we have it when we need it!

Annual Thanksgiving Celebration … We will be having our Annual First & Second Grade Thanksgiving Celebration.  Just like past years, we will be assigning items for students to bring in. More information will be coming in next week’s newsletter.

Memory Work – Due FRIDAY, November 15, 2013:
