Social
Studies Fair … Just wanted to keep you updated on our
progress…We have written our opening & first paragraphs.  We should be done next week.  I will collect them and make
corrections.  Then, they will be sent home
the following Monday so that the students will have all week to work on their
final draft due Friday, February 8th.
Singing at Church … This is just a
reminder that we will be singing at church this Saturday at the 6:00
service.  Students are asked to wear a
white shirt with a color and appropriate bottoms (pants, skirt, etc.).  We will be wearing our brand new stoles for
this service!  Also, all students who
volunteered to pass out letters and bookmarks are asked to be at church by 5:45
so that they can be in place when people start showing upJ.
Prayer Friends … Just a reminder for
students to remember their Prayer Friends in their nightly prayers!
Substitute Teacher … I will not be in
school on Monday.  Mrs. Devine will be
our substitute teacher.
Mr. Gerds’ Reception … On Sunday,
February 3rd at the 11:00 service, we will be celebrating Mr. Gerds’
50th year in the ministry!
Last week, you should have received a yellow flyer asking for donations
of food for Mr. Gerds’ Reception.  Kdg.-2nd
grades were asked to bring in either fruit (watermelon, strawberries,
cantaloupe, grapes, pineapple, etc.) that is washed & cut up or cheese and
crackers platter.  If you can help out in
this way we would greatly appreciate it!
We are still in need of people who would be able to bring in food!  Please let me know if you are able to help!
