Oops! One Day late!

Well, it's official!  We finished our first week of the 2012-2013 school year.  This week definitely ended on a high note!  What a wonderful group of students!  These second graders show great promise!  I can't wait!

Here we go...

Successes:  We came through the first week with flying colors!  It was wonderful each day to see each student excited to learn and share knowledge.  We also started a new "thing" called the Prayer Bag.  Each night a different student will bring home a bag in which to put their prayers.  When they bring it back the next day, the class will be sure to include those prayers in our morning and end of school prayers and students would include them in their nightly prayers.  My hope is that it will encourage the students to pray not only for family, but classmates families and those they may not know.

Struggles: We are managing to get back into the routine, but continued prayers will help.  Every start of the year is a learning process and your continued prayers are welcome.

Homework:  Math 3B and Handwriting wkst. 17-18.  Plenty of time was given to complete each assignment, so students should not have to complete any work:).

Tonight's Prayer: We pray for Isabelle's Grandparents safe arrival in Florida!

Blessings on your Holiday Weekend!
