Yep, we are officially back in the swing of things! I have to say that today was a difficult day as my life went back to normal (whatever that may be now), but the students were on their best behavior!
Here we go...
Successes: Every day God has shown me that He is taking care of me & giving me peace about my Mom's passing. The students were on their best behavior. I don't know if its' because they don't know what to do when they see their teacher crying or if what they've been learning is finally sinking in... Whatever it may be, I'm taking advantage of it for as long as I can:) Also, we had a fun Science activity today where we looked at different crackers and used describing words to tell how they were different.
Struggles: It was reported to me that Art class was a little loud. Mrs. Hilsinger said they had a difficult time keeping the noise level down. Please keep this in your prayers!
Homework: Science cracker wkst., Math 59B, Social Studies wkst. 33, Reading wkst. 176, Handwriting pg. 71-72.
Prayers: We are thankful that teeth came out over break & that we all had an enjoyable time. We are thankful that Aaron's Grandma got back to Michigan safely & kept everyone safe over break. We also prayed that Michael's brother would have safe travels to Colorado. Be with those who are sick. Thanks for Eli's brother's visit. Help our hurts to feel better. Thanks for the gifts that we received for Christmas.
The newsletter was sent home today with the Memory Work & Spelling words for this week. Please note that Memory will be due on Friday.
Finally, I really want to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers. My family and I have been overwhelmed by the love that the Our Shepherd Family has shown during these last 3 weeks. You will never know how much it has meant to us!
Many Blessings,
Miss Mazur
