Well, as you can imagine, this has been a very difficult week for me. While my Mom's passing was sudden and life changing, I know for a fact that she is with her Lord in heaven having a Christmas Celebration that is beyond our imagination.
I thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers. God has definitely shown me that she was loved by many, many, many people! He has also shown me that I have a wonderful family and terrific friends that has surrounded me with love and support through all of this. While I know that this journey is not over, I know that the Lord is leading me through it and has given me the strength to handle anything that comes my way.
Thank you again for all your thoughts and prayers! I just wanted to share with you one of my favorite pictures of my Mom and me. As some of you may know, my Mom and I would travel to Florida every year at the end of February. She would drive down the week before winter break and I would fly down that Friday and stay through Tuesday. We stayed in Kissimmee near Disney World. We didn't necessarily visit the Magic Kingdom, but this was the last time that we were there together (about 3 years ago). No matter what we did, my Mom and I always had a great time together!
