So I'm sitting here at home and thinking over the day.... I suddenly remember that I didn't do my blog entry for the day!!!
Today we had the opportunity to watch the 6th-8th grades perform their Christmas musical. They did a phenomenal job! It was funny and touching! I only have to see these wonderful students perform to remember the reason why I love my job so much!!! I see God working through our children each day, but I have to admit, that I sometimes take it for granted. It is humbling to see how God uses these wonderful, thoughtful, intelligent, expressive children to give His message to us. It humbles me every time! They will be performing the musical again tomorrow for our first Advent(evening) service of the season -- I highly recommend attending! You will not be sorry!
It also reminds me of the 23 wonderful Blessings that God has given me this school year. Each of them, though they may be frustrating at times, are truly a Blessing to me and to each other. I am excited about being able to celebrate the Christmas Season with them! Thank you for allowing me to teach your children everyday! I wouldn't trade it for anything!
Here we go...
Successes: Do I need to say anything more???
Homework: Math 48B, Reading wkst. 171-172, Spelling pg. 73-74 (due Friday). I can't believe I just remembered it!!!
Prayers: Well, we didn't take prayer requests today, but I do know someone how needs our prayers -- Mr. D'Aoust. Mr. D'Aoust fell yesterday and has several broken ribs and some other things...Please keep him and the family in your prayers.
Finally, we will be making cookies on Friday for Math in the afternoon. I am in need of a parent or two who would be willing to bake the cookies for me. I will have the students put the cookies on the sheets, I just need you to bake them in the kitchen oven & bring them back to us. Here's the bribe...If you bake them for us, I will make sure you get a cookie...How does that sound??? Please let me know if you would be able to help!
I think I'm happy that I didn't write this until I got home. It gave me time to reflect on all that happened today and really gave me an appreciation for what God uses us to accomplish here at Our Shepherd! Thank you again for sending your children to our school -- it wouldn't be the same without them!
Many, Many Blessings,
Miss Mazur
