Chicago Here I Come!

Yes, I am going to Chicago this weekend! So, all day, I've been trying to focus on school stuff & all I can think about is the stuff that I have yet to pack! I'm very excited to be going back to Concordia Chicago to attend their service of Lessons & Carols. It's hosted by the Music Department and as a former member of their Kapelle Choir it brings back wonderful memories of my time there! It's also a great "kick-off" to the Christmas Season!

Here we go...

Successes: We baked cookies today! Our Math lesson was all about measurements in baking. We made Apple Jack Cookies. A recipe was sent home in your child's Friday Folder. I describe them as "Apple Pie in Cookie Form." They are very good! Art Class was, again, very successful. The students were busy making cards for families and friends. I hope that you have the opportunity to see them! What a creative class!

Struggles: We are easily excited! I guess it's what comes with the anticipation of Christmas. However, we still need to accomplish a lot!!! Please keep this in your prayers!

Homework: Reading wkst. 159-162 were completed in class. Social Studies -- Woodland Indians wkst. was also completed in class.

Prayers: We prayed for Chris' Dad who's eye is bothering him, Tomas' Dad who is recovering from his fall at home, Vidhiyaa who is getting her flu shot today & her mom who is not feeling well, Joseph who is going to the Piston's game tonight, Liana's Dad who is celebrating his birthday on Sunday, Sara who will be performing in her dance recital tonight, and safe travels for Ashley and her family as they come back from Florida. We also gave thanks for Andrey's brother, Chandler, who played well in his basketball game yesterday, and for Grace's Dad who came home safely.

Have a Blessed Weekend!
Miss Mazur
