Yay! We're Done!

Yes, we are done with school for the week. I know many second graders who will be reminding their older siblings that they get to sleep-in tomorrow while they have to go to school! God is Good! It never hurts to rub it in a little! We just need to remember when to stop:)!

Here we go...

Successes: I had many students who asked to go to the computer room to take AR tests today during reading centers. They were very good at following proper procedure! Keep taking those tests, guys!!!!

Struggles: I guess, it would be Math facts. We are now working on sums of 11 -- every little bit of practice helps!

Homework: What kind of teacher would I be if I assigned homework for the long weekend....Well, I did have 3 reading groups that were given assignments, but those aren't due until Tuesday -- so that doesn't count!!!! :)

Prayers: We prayed that Ashley would have a good day with dad at work tomorrow -- something was mentioned about a golf cart being "run into" objects???? Let's hope that doesn't happen again!!!! We prayed that Ricardo would have a good hockey practice & game this weekend. Andrey asked that we pray for Chandler, his brother, because he had a full day of school today & tomorrow -- he wasn't happy:). We ask for healing for Jack's wrist which it hurting right now. Be with Vidhiyaa's Grandma who had difficulty walking. Michael asked for quick healing for his brother who hurt his eye at school. Sara's side hurts when she raises her hand -- when confronted with the fact that she was raising her hand to share her request, I was told it was the other side...I told her to stop raising her hand. She didn't find it as funny as I did;-). Christian prays that his mom and dad would stop smoking. Thanks for Joseph's Mom's safe travel to and from California. be with Chris' dad on his birthday today. Joseph asked that his brother have a good day at school today & that he have fun at Upwards Basketball tonight. I understand that many of the boys will be there -- we will pray for their fun & safety.

Well, I have a few conferences to finish with today...I look forward to meeting with the rest of you. But, most importantly, I look forward to a restful productive weekend. Please don't forget to check Fast Direct Sunday after 12 noon. That is my deadline for getting caught up on all of my papers!!!
