Tuesday...Enough Said!

Yes, it is Tuesday and we were thankful that it is!!! It means that Vidhiyaa will be back in our classroom in less than 1 week! We can't wait!!!

Here we go...

Successes: We had a lot of fun playing "Making 10" today during reading centers! While I was meeting with 3 of our 6 reading groups, students were practicing their Sums of 10 facts in a very fun way!

Struggles: Well, the afore mentioned sums of 10 facts & our Armlength voices are still a work in progress. Please pray that would would continue to grow in these areas!

Homework: Science Activity drawing (draw an animal & it's habitat), Math 35B, 3 reading groups had specific small group assignments, and Spelling pg. 58-59.

Prayers:We prayed for a good day in Art class today, that Jack's mom would have a safe time in Baltimore. We prayed that Ricardo would have a great time at the Wings game tonight & I prayed that they would win! Be with Drew's Great-Grandma & that she would get out of the hospital on Friday. We prayed that Elisha's aunt would have a good birthday tomorrow. We asked that the Lord would help us throughout our day today. Be with Sara's brother, Jake, and heal him quickly. We pray that Ashley's grandparents would feel better soon. Christian asked for prayers that he would do well on his AR test. Andrey is thankful that Chandler is back at school. Be with Jack's Aunt Joe who just got out of the hospital. Tomas is thankful for Dad's birthday celebration. Michael is thankful for his brother Jon (John?). Kemp is thankful that his birthday was a lot of fun. Joseph prayed that his brother would make the basketball team.

Also, some of you have been curious as to what CEF is...It stands for Church Extension Fund. It's a non-profit organization that loans money to churches who are struggling or just starting out. When you put money in a CEF account, they use some of the interest earned off of that money to help struggling churches & church workers. It's basically a savings account. We have Mrs. Moine who comes each Tuesday and collects money from students who participate and keeps track of the amount each child has saved. Each child has a booklet & stamps based on the amount given are placed in the booklet -- i.e. if your child brings in 50 cents, they will have 2 25 cent stamps placed in their booklet. Once that booklet is filled it is sent home and you can send it in the envelope provided to Church Extension Fund. If at any time you would like to withdrawal your money, you can so by contacting them. Hope that clears things up!!! Should you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to contact me:)

Harvest Blessings,
Miss Mazur
