Better Late Than Never!!!

So, I almost forgot to type an entry again today! Hmmmmm...maybe I can convince Mrs. McLaughlin that we shouldn't have meetings anymore because it messes with my routine!!! Somehow I don't think she'll go for it, but it can't hurt to try!!!! :)

Here we go...

Successes: We had our first day of Art class today!!! Mrs. McLaughlin is our Art teacher this year & it seemed to go well. They all had fun!

Struggles: We were VERY talkative today! I know it's because we had a 4 day weekend & it's hard to get back into the swing of things. Please keep that in your prayers!

Homework: Reading wkst. 119-120 & Handwriting pg. 47-48.

Prayers: Please pray that 2nd graders would take care of the classroom, especially with the books in our classroom library. Pray that Kemp has a great Birthday! Thanks that Cristian's soccer team won their game this past weekend. Pray that Sara's brother, Jake, gets better soon. Be with Andrey's brother who made a bad decision & help him to make good choices. We pray that Tomas' sister would feel better. Be with Michael's friend who is sick. We pray that Jack's mom would have a safe work trip this week. Aaron has a prayer of thanks that he was at school today & was healthy. Please help us to not have bad dreams.

Also, we learned a new Math "Memory" game called Making 10. Here's how you play:

1. Take a deck of cards and remove all the face cards, 10s and jokers.
2. Place all of the cards face down in 6 rows of 6 each.
3. Turn cards over and use the numbers to make a sum of 10. i.e. a 6 & 4 equal 10. -- the aces will count as one.
4. The person with the most pairs wins the game.
