Does Anyone Know What Time It Is????

It's party time!!!! I bet you thought I was going to say, "TOOL TIME!" Well, it's time to party because we have a weekend ahead of us and only 2 1/2 days next week!!!! WOOHOO! Does it sound like I am excited??? Maybe I'm a little excited! I love, love, love my job, but, come on, who doesn't love a day off here & there???

Here we go...

Successes: We had wonderful "pockets" of quiet time today!!! The students were really able to focus on getting work done! I guess the "threat" of possible homework is a great motivator!!! ;-)

Struggles: I honestly don't have anything to put here!!! They had a really good day!! I also think that the excitement of the weekend being here is having an effect -- Hmmmmmm.

Homework: Well, students didn't write in their assignment books today -- we ran out of time, but these items are still due back on Monday: Science vocab words & Chapter 3 test (both Tuesday), Social Studies wkst. 24, Reading wkst. 135-136, 139-140 & 149-150.

Prayers: Please help Tomas' brother to have a good birthday tomorrow. Help Kemp's Mom & Dad in planning a party. Heal the scratch on Ashley's back quickly. Help Aaron's Great-Grandma to feel better. Be with Jack's cousin & Dad who are both sick. Help Eli's back to feel better. Andrey is thankful that his brother started basketball. Help Ricardo's Dad to feel better. Help Michael's brother's friend's foot to feel better.

Also, a note will be coming home Monday asking for volunteers for this year's Cookie Walk. 2nd & 3rd grades are in charge of it. Volunteers are needed for Thursday, December 3rd after school for about an hour & Friday, December 4th in the morning from 7 a.m.-9 a.m. If you can help in anyway -- please let me know or you can contact Mrs. Loebl (the number can be found on the sheet coming home Monday).
