Yes, I am counting down the hours until I have the opportunity to talk with all of you!!!! I know, you thought I was going to be counting down the days until Friday....Well, maybe I'm doing that too:), but I still am excited to talk with each of you and share with you how wonderful your children are!
Here we go...
Successes: Reading Groups went very well today. I was able to meet with 3 of our 6 groups. The other 3 groups will meet with me on Thursday. We worked in our Poetry Journals today. One poem was about the Geese flying south for the winter, the other was about colors bursting in the Fall! It was fun because it had some Spanish words! We have our resident expert in Spanish -- Ricardo, but we also remembered a lot from Spanish class last year. Mrs. Kowitz would be so proud!
Struggles: Today it was a struggle for us to find a little quiet time! I wanted us to have some time where it was just quiet so that those who need it would be able to focus, but it wasn't happening today. Please pray for us tomorrow & Thursday!
Homework: Science pg. 100 -- students needed to create a food web based on the lunch that they had today (it was helpful for us to make a list of what we ate first). Math -- practice "sums of 11" facts. Spelling wkst. 66-67 (due THURSDAY). They should have also written their spelling words in their assignment books.
Prayers: Ricardo is thankful that his team won their hockey game and prays for a chance to be goalie again because he really liked it! Andrey requested that we pray for a good day here at school. We prayed that Ashley's throat would feel better. Joseph prays that his mom would have a safe trip home from California. We prayed for Jack's grandma who has a sore leg. Sara prays that her stomach won't hurt in the car on the way to dance lessons today. We prayed that Tomas' cough would get better soon.
Enjoy your time together this evening! Again, I look forward to seeing each of you Wednesday or Thursday!
Harvest Blessings,
Miss Mazur
