Yay for Cooler Weather!

Thankfully, today was MUCH cooler than the last 2 days! We (and I mean me) were happier with the humidity gone! Thank you to all of the parents who came to Curriculum Night last night. It was great to get a chance to talk with you and explain things in our classroom!

Here we go...

Successes: We did a wonderful job of drawing pictures during Social Studies. Students were asked to draw pictures of an urban, suburban and rural area. I'm beginning to realize that we are a bunch of wonderful artists! We also enjoyed Mrs. Warsinski reading the book Tom by Tomie dePaola (our artist of the month) to us. She taught us that if you press the inside of your forearm your fingers will move! I didn't know that -- Thanks Mrs. Warsinski!

Struggles: We still continue to struggle with transitioning from subject to subject. It's a learning process -- please pray to learn it soon:)!

Homework: Memory Work is due tomorrow -- Psalm 119:105 and Psalm 104:24. In Science, students were asked to draw a picture of a flower and label the petals, stem, roots, and leaves. In Social Studies, students were to draw 3 pictures -- an urban area, suburb area, and rural area. Students need to read Sick Day but it does not need to come back to school. Reading wkst. 3-4 & 7 were also assigned. Handwriting pg. 21-22 is also due tomorrow. I know this seems like a lot of work, but we did most of these assignments in school so they shouldn't have much. Oh, and there wasn't any Math except the fact practice!!!! Yay!

Prayers: Today we prayed for the scratch on Tomas' nose to heal quickly. Keep Grace's Mom safe as she travels to and from Kentucky. And, be with Aaron's Grandpa who is dealing with kidney stones.

Have a wonderful evening everyone!

Blessings,
Miss Mazur
