Well, we made it through our first official day of school! It was great! It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, meet our new classmates, and get down to the business of second grade:)
As I said in before, you will find 4 things in each daily entry: Successes, struggles, homework, and Prayer requests. So here they are....
Successes: We worked really well today. We helped each other out to make sure we were all in the same spot. The students loved decorating our "flowers" for our bulletin board. Be sure to check them out tomorrow morning!
Struggles: Well, it is the common struggle of coming back from a long summer break. We will get back into the swing of things soon. It just takes time, but please keep this in your daily prayers!
Homework: Students need to have their address and phone number written on pg. 1 of their assignment books by tomorrow. There were also 2 sheets that went home in their folders today: 1 "Getting to Know You" sheet and 1 "Homework Policy" sheet. Both need to be turned in by Thursday.
Prayers: Please pray that we will quickly get back into the "swing" of things. Pray that we have a great start to the school year and that we grow in HIS knowledge and HIS truth!
