Only 3 More Weeks Left!

It's hard to believe that the end of the school year is so close!  Where did this quarter go?  I think the weather has been tricking us into thinking that we are just starting spring! However sad/happy I might be, the end of the year must come!  :(

Subtraction Facts …  I’ve been looking at our grades for our 100 subtraction facts test and we have been slipping in our performance!  Please take time several times during the week to practice subtraction facts with -0 to -9.  You can do this with actual flash cards or by searching online for Subtraction practice like this website.

Fast Direct is Updates! … Can you believe that there are only 3 more weeks left in the school year?!?!? This quarter just flew by!  Anyway…I have entered all grades & a few students are missing assignments.  Please take time today to look over your child’s progress.  You can contact me with any concerns you might have.  We still have a lot to do in these next 3 weeks so there is room for improvement in all students!:)

Awards Night Update … Just a reminder that we will NOT be singing at Awards Night this Thursday.

End of Year Incentives … To get us through the end of the year I’ve implemented a “pop”ular management idea!  We did this last year and it worked really well!  We have a balloon labeled for each day we are in school.  If, during the day, we show that we are really trying to stay on task & do our best then we will pop the balloon taped to our classroom wall.  Whatever is inside the balloon is what the class will be able to participate in during the next school day.  To make this a success, I need your help!  I am looking for donations of items.  Nothing big – these are easily found at dollar stores all over, but if you can help it would be greatly appreciated!  Here are a few of the items:

Chewing gum

Sidewalk chalk
