Enjoy the Long Weekend!

We have had a busy week!  We have been hard at work on land forms and fall activities!  Be sure to stop by our classroom to read our stories, "The Adventures of Mr. & Mrs. Leaf."  We also took time today to work on fall trees today.  It was my hope that they would be done today, but we are going to have to touch up our pictures on Monday!

Birthday Celebration … Please see the information listed in the Lamb’s Connection in regard to Daniel Tharp’s Birthday Celebration.  Daniel is a former student who was seriously injured in a diving accident this summer.  He is rehabilitating at U of M Hospitals and we want to do everything we can to keep his spirits up!

Book-It! Forms … Keep on reading!  We have been tracking our daily progress see if we can meet our goal!  Forms are due back to me by Monday, November 4^th.

Reading Tests  … Last week, we took a Reading Test over Unit 1.  Since the answers are given on the response form that was sent home, students will be unable to make corrections to improve their grade.  However, it is an indicator of how students are doing in their critical thinking skills.

Hot Lunch … Just a reminder to please indicate your child’s name and grade when ordering hot lunch for the month of November.

Fast Direct  … It has been updated! Since Friday marks the end of the quarter, please, please, please take time this weekend to look over your child’s progress.  Any missing work can be “made up” but has to be done before Friday.  If your child is missing any work, please submit by email or note the assignment name and I will make a copy.

Shield's Fundraiser ...  Please don't forget to consider dinner from Shield's Pizza on Monday, October 28!  You will need a form to give to the waiter when ordering.  It is for dine-in or carry out!
