Don’t
Forget … Please
check your child’s folder for any papers marked with a “Redo.” These are papers
that students may correct and turn in to raise that specific grade.
Book-It!
Forms …
October kicks off this year’s Book-It!
Reading Challenge.  Students were
given a calendar to fill out each day that they read.  For the month of October, I am challenging
each student to read for 20 minutes at least 5 times each week.
Volunteer
Needed … Mrs.
Morrison is in need of a volunteer to help with pictures on Monday and Tuesday
(October 7th & 8th).
Those who are able to help for the day will receive a $15 coupon toward
their child’s pictures.  This time can be
applied to your Time & Talent hours.
Those who are able to help please contact Mrs. Morrison at Morrison@ourshepherd.net and she
will respond to youJ.
Listening
Skills …
Your prayers are working!  I put up a new
“reminder” at the front of our classroom indicating which noise level we should
be at…it is a BIG helper!  Keep the
prayers coming!
Field
Trip Form …
Just a reminder that slips are due back with payment by Tuesday, October 1st.  Students are able to wear appropriate “farm”
clothing for our field trip, but please remember that we are representing Our
Shepherd!  Also, please don’t forget to
pack a lunch for your child.  Please be
sure that there aren’t any containers that need to be brought back…We will be
eating lunch at the farm & don’t want to have to carry it around after we
eat!  Finally, please pray for great
weather for our field trip!  October can
be tricky here in Michigan & we want to be able to enjoy as much of the day
as possible!
Our
First Tests … We
will be having our first Science test on Wednesday over Chapter 9 and our first
Social Studies Test over Chapter 1 on Thursday.
