Fast Direct ... Last Friday marked the middle of the first quarter.  I have updated each child’s grades.  Take time to look it over this weekend to see if your child has any missing assignments.  If there are assignments missing and you are unable to fine them at home or if you need another copy, please let me know which ones you need either by sending in a note or sending me an email (mazurt@ourshepherd.net) with the assignments listed.  Thanks!

Upland Hills Field Trip … Just a reminder that permission slips are due on Tuesday.  Students will need to bring a sack lunch & also a booster seat if they are under 8 years of age or under 4’9” tall.  Thanks!

Fundraiser Reminder … Just a reminder that the Fall Fundraiser is still going on.  Students who are able to sell 3, 5, 10 or 15 items will be entered into a drawing associated to the amount of items they have sold.

No Spelling Next Week! … This week we completed our first Reading Theme (There are different kinds of Communities) we will be taking a theme test next week.  Combine that with the fact that we have a field trip on Friday and it’s better if we don’t have a test.  This test isn’t something that they can study for…it’s a practice of all the skills we’ve been learning.  Memory is still due on Thursday though!

Book Order Reminder ... Just a reminder that book orders are due next week if you want to purchase anything.  You can either return your order form to me or visit our classroom site online at Scholastic.com using our class code "HCPJM."

Science Tests ... Yesterday's Science test will be coming home on Monday.  Students will have an opportunity, if they wish, to make corrections and return it next week for an average of the two grades.  This grade will be counted in the grade book.

Picture Day … Don’t forget that picture day is Monday!  Appropriate free dress is allowed.
