FYI

So today was a great day! We did well especially given the fact that we didn't go outside at all yesterday. That usually means that we are in for a rough next day! But we prevailed & it was good all around!

I just wanted to give you a little more information about our Science homework that came home today. I don't really even call it a report, but students are going to be writing a paragraph about a body of water that they are familiar with or is close to their house. It can be a beach that they visit on a regular basis, the lake by the cabin or a river near their house that they've never seen before. The idea is to make it as simple as possible. Students were given wkst. 89 today so that they could fill out the web & get started on their ideas. That wkst. is due on Friday. On Friday, I'm going to be giving them another sheet which outlines how they are going to use the information they gathered & what the "report" is supposed to look like when it is finished. The final product will be due on Wednesday, May 19th. It's very short, just another way to learn about our community! Please contact me if you have any questions!
