Here we go...
Successes: We took an AR test on Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. Overall we did really well. 2nd grade students need to achieve 6 AR points to get their star on the AR Board & 3 students have accomplished that -- Great Job Sara, Kemp & Aaron!!! Just a reminder that students are encouraged to earn 6 points each quarter (not required) and need to earn 30 points if they would like to attend the pizza party at the end of the year. Parents will be receiving a "statement" of points earned with their child's report card.
Struggles: MATH FACTS:)!!! Keep practicing them!!!!!
Homework: Social Studies wkst. 15, Reading wkst. 103-104, Spelling test (first thing in the morning).
Prayers: Help us to have a great time tomorrow on our field trip & be with Vidhiyaa as she visits family in India -- bring her back safely to us!!!
Okay -- so here's the 411 on the Field trip tomorrow... Students may wear appropriate farm clothes (jeans, t-shirts, flannel shirts, sweatshirts, etc.). The weather man is calling for rain tomorrow with a high of 50 degrees -- dress accordingly. It's much better to be overprepared than underprepared! Rain boots would be advised or shoes that you don't mind getting muddy. Rain jackets are a must, but no umbrellas please. Make sure that each student comes with their own lunch -- everything needs to be disposable so that they don't need to carry anything around after lunch. Also, please make sure that your child brings in their booster seat if they need one. Students must be 4'9" or 8 years of age to ride without a booster seat. This will be strictly enforced!
Finally, all parents who volunteered to drive are coming on the field trip, but I have selected the drivers for tomorrow. They are:
- Vollmert
- Aubrey
- Justice
- Morrison
- Vieregge
- Warsinski
- Vandenberghe
All other parents have been assigned a passenger spot in one of the listed vehicles. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me tonight!
Blessings,
Miss Mazur
