Well, it seems that God blessed us with another day full of humidity! I wish he hadn't, but we seemed to manage anyway. Okay, enough chit-chat:)!
Here we go...
Successes: Today were were working in small groups during Math. We were looking at the attributes/characteristics of pattern blocks. It went so well. We even learned a new way of speaking when we are working in small groups -- "Arm-length Voices." Arm-length Voices is a way of making sure that your voice doesn't drown out the rest of the room. Your voice should reach no farther than the length of your arm. I have to say that they have shown the most promise of any second grade class that I've had here at Our Shepherd. Just further proof that this is an awesome group of kids!
Struggles: On the other hand, I think that our Honeymoon period has started to wear off... We do like to talk, myself included and it does seem to take us a little bit of time to move from one thing to another.
Homework: We had Science wkst. 12 where all we had to do was find a flower near or at home and compare it to the one that we saw at school. Students should have drawn a picture of it in the upper right hand corner of their paper. For Math we had Fact Homework 6B & Homework 6B. You will notice that the students only wrote 6B -- this will represent both sheets from now on. Social Studies wkst. 4 was something that they should have been able to finish in class. Also, don't forget about the Spelling Test tomorrow. Students should have their spelling words written in their assignment books.
Prayers: Please keep Grace's Aunt, Uncle & Baby Rory in your prayers as they prepare to move to a new home. We pray for healing for Tomas' Dad's knee & also for Jack's Grandpa's sore back & knee.
Many Blessings on your evening!!! Just remember the weekend is only 1 day away!
Love in Christ,
Miss Mazur
